Roy Eldridge was considered the top trumpet player in the 's and this CD shows why and the proof is in the listening. With Chu Berry on tenor and others backing his play what's not to like? His time spent with Gene Krupa was a part of dues paying but it was a horrible time for black musicians and a totally dissapointing view of society's 5/5(3).
